Another massacre carried out against the Kurdish people is being covered up.
On December 28, 2011, Turkish warplanes bombed villagers in the Roboski area of Şırnak in eastern Turkey. Thirty-four people were massacred, 19 of them children.

Although the state has tried to dismiss the incident by saying, “We thought they were terrorists,” democratic institutions and organizations—especially the Kurdish people—continue to demand that those responsible for the massacre be brought to justice.
