We are pleased to invite you to the International Women’s Day Panel on 11 March 2020 at 7 – 9pm at North London Community House. The panel discussion will be followed by networking drinks.

As Solidarity with the People of Turkey (SPOT) and Day-Mer we want to build international solidarity with the women’s movement in Turkey and also strengthen the relationships between women’s organisations, campaigning groups and unions in the UK. The panel will be a chance to find out more about the attacks on women’s human rights and workers rights in Turkey, and hear directly from women in Turkey about their resistance. We will also have with us representatives from UK trade unions who will discuss with us their experience and efforts at international solidarity.

Strengthening international solidarity and linking the struggle of women in Turkey with that of women in the UK is a priority for us and we hope that you will join us at this important discussion. We are keen to have as many organisations as possible represented and would like to find out more about your work/priorities.
