Murat Emir from the main opposition party announced that trade is continuing. CHP Deputy Group Chair Murat Emir disclosed documents at a press conference held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), revealing that the government has maintained trade with Israel. Emir said, “You can read from Israeli data that Turkey exported 924 million dollars’ worth of goods in the past year. Whatever Israel needs has gone from Turkey and continues to go. The government has been caught red-handed trading with Israel.”
Emir added, “When you look at the details of what we have sent, for example: live animals, vegetable products, food products, mineral products, chemicals, plastic goods, machinery and equipment… We sent 172 million dollars’ worth of machinery and equipment. We sent vehicles. We sent base metals worth 183 million dollars. These are metals used in war technology. In other words, whatever Israel needs has gone from Turkey and continues to go.”
